Encryption using Polar Codes
Kevin Wong & Billy Chen
A way to communicate secretly to another person wirelessly
We will investigate polar coding as a form of channel coding and how it can be used in conjunction with Rao-Nam's encryption method. As a result, this may be used as a method for two devices to communicate with each other secretly over a wireless/shared medium in the future.

This is predominantly a research based project. We will investigate polar code in detail and some of the assumptions associated with it. We will also investigate Rao-Nam’s encryption and decryption process, the strengths and limitations of their original proposed method. We will also perform a simple encryption and decryption process of Rao-Nam’s encryption idea using polar codes instead of using Goppa codes as originally proposed and this will be demonstrated during Spark Night.
